1. Imformation of airport

The main airports in Fiji are Nani and Nausori international airports.

Nani Airport is in city of Nadi, which is located at the center of Fiji. Many travelers use this airport. However, if you want to travel to other places in Fiji, then, you can use Nausori Airport.

 

2. Immigration tips

➀ Visa

Entry to Fiji with no visa requires passport with at least 3 months of duration and a round-trip plane ticket.

When you visit Fiji, you can receive a tourist visa that lasts for four month. You can also extend the visa for two months with extra fee.(Fee is 85F$)

If you want to make a lengthy stay of more than six months in Fiji, you have to issue a visa beforehand.

 

➁ Precautions of immigration

Fiji goes a full yard custom inspection. Restricted Items: Agricultural and marine products, meat, dairy products etc. (Even the ramen with beef components is prohibited)

Fiji don't have tropical diseases, so immigrant from infected state have to be vaccinated in order of immigration.

 

➂ How to fill out the immigration form

You have to prepare a departure card on the plane or write it in the airport immigration control.

Fiji departure card form is a four page brochure, including disembarkation card, customs declaration form and quarantine declaration form. Check the address where you will stay in Fiji, and the fight to write on the departure card.

➀ Currency

You can use only Fiji dollar in Fiji. Exchange your moneys to America dollars before you arrive in Fiji. You can exchange money in airport, bank, and even in hotel.

If you have the PLUS, which is the abroad cash card in Korea, you can withdraw Fiji dollar with it. Automatic Withdrawal fee is lower than exchange fee.

 

② How to sent a letter to Korea in Fiji

The Post Office provides services from Monday to Friday, during 8 am to 4 pm.

If you sent a letter to your family in Korea, it almost takes a week to arrive.

➂ How to use the Internet and electronic equipment

You can utilize the wireless Internet in hotel, but it is too expensive to use in everytime. So using Internet cafes in town is the best way. (Costs F$33~34 per hour.)

In Fiji, the plug has 3 holes like Australia and New Zealand. Also, the voltage is 240V/50Hz, so using transformers for a precision machine like a laptop are better. Transformer is available for lent in hotel.

 

➃ Safety regulations of trip.

Since the gap between rich and poor increased, crimes such as theft, robbery are around. Especially take place in foreign residential area and mini bus, so you should take the bus running from hotel.
